Washington Regional Urgent Care in Mountain Home is seeking experienced Medical Assistants with clerical experience to join our team. The role includes clinical support in urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings, taking histories, vitals, and assisting with x-ray testing while preparing patients for provider evaluation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to obtain AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.
• BLS Certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients promptly in waiting area, exam room, or lab/x-ray room.
• Answer patient inquiries and direct them through registration.
• Handle multi-line phones, filing, faxing, and daily patient callbacks.
• Check in/out, assist clinical staff, and close the office after shifts.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments, and post balances.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through the next steps of care.
• Document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and other pertinent data.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by the provider.
• Maintain neat, clean patient areas; ensure compliance with health/safety procedures.
• Handle cash reconciliation and nightly deposit drops.
