Job summary

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in Wakefield, NC is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant / Radiologic Technologist to join our orthopaedic urgent care team. This dual-role supports providers with clinical duties and imaging, including X-rays, documentation, and patient care.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of clinical experience, ARRT certification, and a Radiologic Technology program degree. The role is full-time, with travel to satellite locations as needed and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification and valid state Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with EHR systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work at satellite locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient exams, procedures and treatments.
• Perform diagnostic X-rays and obtain high-quality images.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and shielding procedures.
• Assist with casts, splints, dressings, injections and other procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Coordinate diagnostic orders, follow-up appointments and labs.
• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment; report malfunctions.
• Keep exam rooms and imaging areas clean and organized.
