Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will assist providers, take vitals, perform procedures, and support both clinical and front-office tasks in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires completion of an approved MA training program or equivalent certification, proficiency with EMR/EHR, and a commitment to safety and quality care across our urgent care clinics.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• National Certification through CMA/AMT/NHA if the program is not accredited.
• Must have high school diploma or GED and provide education verification when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams, including patient vitals, under direct supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and provider direction with safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May support Front Office Reception and patient flow during discharge and checkout.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR and clinical workflows is required.
• Notifies provider on duty of any unusual patient occurrences or safety concerns.
