Job summary

FastMed is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care in Cary, NC. The role involves triaging patients, drawing blood, collecting specimens, and administering medications under supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or CCMA examination.
• CNA with phlebotomy certification accepted.
• EMT-A or Paramedic credentials accepted.
• Active CMA or RMA designation or other relevant credential optional with approval.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, taking vitals, and documenting in charts.
• Performing blood draws and venipuncture; collecting specimens for lab work.
• Administering medications and vaccines under provider direction.
• Setting up and assisting with procedures as instructed by the provider.
• Prepare treatment rooms and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Support clinical operations and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.
