Job summary

Renown Health's Urgent Care Summit Ridge site is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in front and back office tasks and ensure smooth patient flow. The role acts as a direct liaison between patient and provider, handling questions and coordinating care.

The Medical Assistant will work with a Medical Home team, assist with rooming, blood draws, medications, and patient education, and help track test results and overdue health maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, AMCA or EMT certification preferred.
• Current Nevada license within 90 days of employment where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in front and back office procedures.
• Escort patient from waiting room to exam room and take vital signs.
• Prepare lab specimens and complete referral forms per orders.
• Coordinate with care team on test results and patient education.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and document communications.
• Assist with casts, splints, braces and related patient care as needed.
