Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in both front and back office procedures within a Medical Home setting. The role includes coordinating care, reviewing medications, and educating patients as part of the care team.

The incumbent will assist with test result tracking, reminders for health maintenance, and coordination of referrals, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Multi-physician office practice experience preferred.
• Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant; apply within 90 days if not held.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in back office duties and act as liaison between provider and patient.
• Escort patients from waiting room to examination room and take vital signs.
• Maintain examination rooms and stock; document patient communications; prepare lab specimens as required.
• Complete referral forms and obtain authorizations; schedule tests; manage inbound/outbound calls and file into charts.
• Assist with patient education, test result tracking, and reminders for overdue health maintenance.
