Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is hiring an Urgent Care Medical Assistant in Bartlesville, OK for a full-time position. The Medical Assistant will provide patient care and perform delegated clinical and administrative tasks in a clinic setting under physician supervision.

The role requires EMR use, basic Microsoft Office skills, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred candidates may have an Associate’s degree and CMA/RMA certification with clinic or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer, prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and report medical history in the EMR.
• Greet patients, escort to exam rooms, and record vital signs.
• Sterilize and prepare medical instruments; ensure rooms are clean and ready.
• Assist with inventory and stocking of supplies for exam rooms.
• Process referrals and insurance authorizations; coordinate with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.
• Support patient visits with appropriate clinical tasks as directed by the physician or APP.
