Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in Tulsa, OK for day shift. The role supports clinicians in a clinic setting, performing both administrative and delegated clinical tasks to aid patient care.

The ideal candidate will have EMR knowledge, MS Office skills, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. High school diploma or GED is required; associates degree or MA program completion is preferred, with CMA or RMA certification advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic EMR knowledge and MS Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and report all medical history and claims using an EMR.
• Greet patients, escort to exam room, take vital signs and collect relevant medical information.
• Sterilize and prepare medical instruments; disinfect and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist in inventory control and stocking of supplies for exam rooms.
• Process referrals and insurance authorizations and coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and hospitals.
