Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a full-time Urgent Care Medical Assistant in Bartlesville, OK. You will join a care team delivering patient-centered support in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include performing clinical and administrative tasks, documenting medical history in the EMR, taking vital signs, assisting physicians, maintaining exam room readiness, handling referrals and authorizations, and coordinating with pharmacies and labs. A high school diploma and EMS knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer before providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Enters, maintains, and reports all medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an EMR.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room and/or take vital signs and other applicable medical information.
• Sterilizes and prepares medical instruments; ensures exam rooms are disinfected and ready for patients.
• Maintains inventory and stocks supplies, instruments and equipment for exam rooms.
• Maintains appropriate paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders for completeness.
• Addresses referrals and other insurance authorizations and coordinates with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate’s degree

Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program

Current CMA or RMA certification (preferred)

BLS certification
