Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in Connecticut seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient intake, vital signs, and point-of-care testing in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist with front desk duties, medical record maintenance, and patient communications.

The role requires a Medical Assisting program graduate or MA certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA). BLS is required at hire or within two weeks of start date.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Certification is required for MA role: CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA.

Aufgaben

• Register patients, verify insurance and paperwork.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and inform them of status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform vital signs and basic tests as needed.
• Maintain supplies and clean exam rooms and front desk.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts.
