The role emphasizes accurate paperwork, patient communication, and efficient flow in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, MA program background, BLS, and relevant certifications, with options for different pathways if certification is still in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• One of MA certifications required at hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA.
• In lieu of MA cert, 1+ year MA in hospital/urgent care or phlebotomy accepted.
• Nursing/LPN/RN or EMT or CNA candidates may apply with CPOE within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Perform point-of-care tests and basic labs as directed.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies.
• Maintain medical records and chart scanning.
• Follow daily opening/closing duties and quality checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
