GoHealth Urgent Care, in partnership with Inova, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Alexandria, VA. This role supports clinical and front office operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and a welcoming environment.

The position requires 1 year of Medical Assistant experience and a current BLS certification, with shifts between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Competitive benefits are offered along with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at time of hire (AHA/ARC).

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect demographics, insurance, and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history accurately.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., flu, strep, UA, EKG, pregnancy tests).
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage inventory.
• Support front desk duties, calls, and patient communication.
• Conduct follow-up calls and assist with end-of-day reconciliation.
