Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care seeks a capable Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front office tasks in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist providers with exams, take vitals, and perform routine procedures while also handling patient check-in, billing and sign-offs to keep patient flow smooth.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with approved MA training and relevant certifications; EMR/EHR proficiency is essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National certification path (CMA/ RMA/ CCMA) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety guidelines.
• Perform patient blood draws and urine collection as directed.
• Support front office duties: scheduling, charging, and sign-offs.
• Maintain EMR/EHR documentation and clinic workflow efficiency.
