Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front office duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role focuses on patient care, vitals, and assisting providers, with emphasis on teamwork and accuracy in documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a certified MA program (or equivalent) and proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. Front office tasks include patient flow management and billing support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program required.
• If the MA program is unaccredited, a National Certification (CMA/CCMA/AMT RMA) is required.
• Education verification may be requested during pre-employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams, vitals, and procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• Support front office: inform patients, process payments, obtain signatures.
• Maintain EMR/EHR proficiency and adhere to lab/ accreditation policies.
