Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of venipuncture and EKG.
• Good communication skills and telephone techniques.
• Ability to work independently.
• Thorough knowledge of ancillary testing procedures.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, takes vital signs and EKGs as required.
• Receives specimens from patients.
• Review and log test results for completion and abnormalities.
• Schedule and register patients, answer telephones, greet patients, assist providers.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
