Carbon Health in Marlboro Township, NJ seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a fast-paced, paperless urgent care setting. You will take vitals, room patients, assist with procedures, and handle front-desk duties as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program, current BLS, and is willing to obtain DOT certification; 1+ year experience and phlebotomy experience are preferred, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program and current BLS.
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Take vitals, patient history and triage patients.
• Assist with procedures such as incisions, drainage, lacerations and wound care.
• Administer medications intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous; perform ear lavages and run EKGs.
• Conduct lab testing including UA, pregnancy tests, glucose, monospot, rapid strep and influenza testing, rapid HIV testing.
• Manage front desk and receptionist duties as needed.
• Complete training and obtain DOT certification for Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
