MD Now Urgent Care in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient-first team. You will prepare patients for examinations, set up rooms, and assist with injections, labs, and wound care across locations as needed.

The role requires 1+ year of clinical experience, EHR familiarity, and relevant credentials. This is a full-time position with opportunities to float among MD Now locations in the area.

Competenze

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful.
• The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate within 30 days of start is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Mansioni

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen referrals by handling incoming calls for physicians.
• Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned Area.
