Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support patient examinations, prepare rooms, perform injections, assist with lab work, and coordinate follow-up care.

The role requires familiarity with EHR, 1+ year of clinical experience, and willingness to float between locations. Flexible working hours include 8am–8pm, Monday through Sunday, with eligibility for benefits and growth opportunities within a large healthcare

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required or completion of an approved program (BOTP).
• 1+ year of clinical patient-facing experience is preferred.
• Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is helpful.
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification is a plus.
• Ability to obtain BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Willingness to obtain Federal Breath Alcohol and Federal Drug Screening Certifications within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies/equipment including sterilization.
• Administer injections and assist with phlebotomy and labs.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injury scheduling.
• Screen referrals and coordinate follow-up care.
• Travel/float between MD Now locations within the assigned area is preferred.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (BOTP)

1+ year of clinical experience

Experience with EHR systems

AAMA certification is helpful

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start

Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification desirable

Federal Drug Screening Certification desirable
