MD Now Urgent Care in Florida is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will help prepare patients, assist with exams, and support clinicians with injections, phlebotomy, and lab needs. Flexibility to travel between MD Now locations is preferred.

The role requires at least 1 year of clinical experience and familiarity with EHR systems. AAMA CMA certification is helpful, with requirements to obtain BLS and screening certifications within 30

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (BOTP) is required.
• Certification from the AAMA (CMA) is helpful
• Ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and ensure supplies and equipment are ready
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care
• Coordinate physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
• Screen calls for referrals to physicians and practitioners
• Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned area preferred
