Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care in Orlando, FL is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care across busy urgent care sites. You will prepare patients, take histories and vital signs, assist with exams, injections, lab work, and provide clerical help while maintaining a clean, efficient treatment area.

You should have 1+ year clinical experience, familiarity with EHR, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program, and relevant certifications or the ability to obtain them within 30

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• AAMA certification is helpful.
• Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 30 days.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and supplies, including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen calls for referrals to physicians.
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within assigned Area preferred.
