NextCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support fast-paced urgent care clinics. You will assist providers, manage patient care, and perform routine clinical and front-office duties in a team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND
• Complete an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) MA training program AND National Certification through CMA/AMT/CCMA.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams (including patient vitals) and procedures under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and Provider direction; adheres to safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws as directed by the Provider.
• May collect urine samples for testing (including employer drug screens).
• May perform splinting and casting.
• Conducts sports physicals and other related urgent-care duties.
• Performs wound care, ear lavage, and oxygen administration as needed.
• Notifies provider on duty of unusual patient occurrences; documents in incident report.
• Notifies Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
• Follows lab and accreditation policies.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Company policy.
