Job summary

NextCare is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support fast-paced urgent care clinics. You will assist providers with exams, manage patient care, and collaborate with a team dedicated to delivering high-quality service.

The role includes administering medications, performing phlebotomy, and assisting with front-office tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• National Certification through CMA/AMT/CCMA or equivalent if training was non-accredited.
• EMR/EHR systems proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction; follow safety procedures.
• Perform blood draws and urine collections for testing as directed.
• Support front office reception as needed to manage patient flow.
• Follow laboratory/clinical accreditation policies and maintain quality control.
