Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based setting. You will assist providers with exams, manage patient care in both front and back office, and help ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include patient vitals, medication administration, blood draws, sample collection, and basic wound care. EMR/EHR proficiency is required. Training and certifications as noted are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with MA training.
• National certification CMA/RMA/CCMA if program is non-accredited.
• All states require completion of an approved MA training program.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and procedures under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and directions.
• Performs blood draws and may collect urine samples for testing.
• May perform splinting and casting and conduct physicals.
• Notifies provider and clinic manager of unusual events and safety concerns.
• Follows laboratory and accreditation guidelines; proficient in EMR/EHR.
• Other duties as assigned by policy.
