Job summary

Carbon Health in Pemberton Township, New Jersey, is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant for a full-time role. The patient-focused position involves taking vitals, rooming patients, maintaining clean rooms and supporting procedures in our fast-paced, paperless clinic.

You will assist with incisions and wound care, administer medications, run EKGs and basic lab tests, manage front desk duties, and pursue DOT certification when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history and triage.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care.
• Administer medications intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous; perform ear lavages and run EKGs.
• Conduct lab testing such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing, rapid tests for strep and influenza, and HIV.
• Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed.
• Complete training and become DOT-certified to perform urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.
