Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Texas is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support fast-paced clinical and front office operations. You will assist providers, handle patient vitals, draw blood, collect specimens, and perform routine procedures under supervision.

The role requires EMR/EHR proficiency, strong teamwork, and excellent customer service to keep patients informed and comfortable while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National Certification through CMA, RMA, or CCMA or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced medical setting and ability to work in a team environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams and procedures, including taking vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction; follow safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collections for testing.
• Carry out basic clinical duties such as splinting, casting, and physicals.
• Provide back-office support and front-desk assistance as needed.
• Maintain EMR/EHR accuracy and comply with lab and accreditation policies.
