Job summary

The role requires 1 year of experience, CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification and CPR/BLS, plus skills in phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and medical records documentation. Shifts are 12 hours with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) and CPR/BLS certification are required
• Proficiency in blood draws (phlebotomy)
• Proficiency in administering injections per provider orders
• Ability to perform and obtain quality EKGs
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Experience with medical records documentation and confidentiality
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (7:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) including weekends

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, document vital signs and medical histories in the EHR
• Perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs per orders
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards
• Support providers during examinations and procedures
• Manage medical records and documentation of encounters and tests
• Answer phones and route inquiries professionally
• Coordinate patient flow and front desk communications
• Ensure specimen handling and labeling quality
• Maintain a clean, stocked clinical environment
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with team to support a patient-centered care environment
