Job summary

Carbon Health in Evesham, NJ is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant for full-time, 12-hour shifts from 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., including weekends.

You will support providers with direct patient care, perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs, and help maintain a clean, efficient urgent care environment. You must have CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification and CPR/BLS, plus experience in urgent care or ambulatory settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification and CPR/BLS required.
• Proven phlebotomy and EKG proficiency with proper technique.
• Strong communication and accurate medical records documentation.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients; document vitals, histories, and concerns.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs per orders.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Support clinicians during examinations and procedures.
• Manage medical records and test results accurately.
• Answer calls and route messages professionally.
• Coordinate patient flow with front desk and providers.
• Assist with point-of-care testing and specimen handling.
• Maintain a clean, stocked clinical environment.
• Follow clinic safety policies and regulatory requirements.
