Job summary

CareSpot Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers in exams, procedures, and patient care across our urgent care locations in Florida. You will triage patients, measure vitals, collect specimens, and assist with lab work and immunizations under provider direction.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or CMA/RMA designation or 6+ months of relevant experience, with phlebotomy experience highly valued. Prior ambulatory care exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program; OR an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation; OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment; OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience; OR 1 year of verifiable phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients’ charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms.
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments.
