CareSpot Urgent Care in Florida is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures and patient flow, including triaging patients, taking vitals, blood draws, specimen collection, immunizations, and preparing treatment rooms.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or CMA/RMA credential, or 6 months of relevant experience, or licensed CNA with phlebotomy; BLS; and the ability to pass AHCA background screening. Prior outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or other relevant program; or active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation.
• OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment; OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience; OR 1 year of verifiable experience where phlebotomy is primary function.

Aufgaben

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information on patients’ charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by the provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms.
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments.
