Job summary

CRH Healthcare seeks a Medical Assistant to support urgent care clinics in Pensacola, FL. The role requires compassionate patient care, accurate intake, vital signs, and EMR documentation, with ability to assist providers and perform basic clinical tasks.

You will administer medications, collect specimens, perform CLIA-waived tests, and support front desk operations. Prior CMA certification is preferred; BLS/CPR and 12-hour shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited professional clinical program.
• CMA certification preferred or willing to obtain; licensure for LPN/EMT/RT if applicable.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Take clinical intake: history, current meds, chief complaint; record vitals in EMR.
• Explain procedures and prep patient and exam room.
• Prepare instruments and hand to provider.
• Clean instruments and equipment after use.
• Administer medications, dress wounds, draw blood, assist procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests (eye exams, EKG, audiogram, peak flow).
• Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and process specimens.
• Perform urine drug screens with chain of custody; prep for lab shipment.
• Assist with x-ray setup or radiology aid where applicable.
• Document medical services and supplies in chart.
• Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-ups.
