Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join the Express Care team in Northampton, MA. The role supports clinical and non-clinical patient services under clinician supervision, including vital signs, documentation, and patient education.

Schedule consists of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; flexibility for cross-location coverage may be required. Onsite work at 30 Locust Street with 40 weekly hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years of direct MA or related medical field experience required.
• BLS certification and CMA preferred when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document in patient records.
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and reason for visit.
• Explain procedures, prepare examination rooms and equipment for clinicians.
• Assist with patient flow, scheduling, and communication with staff.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens when trained and competent.
