Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group, Inc. seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to join Express Care at 480 Lynnfield Street, Lynn, MA.

The role supports clinical and non-clinical patient services, with 25 scheduled hours per week across two 12.5‑hour shifts and occasional on-call coverage. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, managing patient flow, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
• Basic Life Support preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions to patients.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens and prepare for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Assist with onboarding training and support junior Medical Assistants.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments; advocate for patients with a positive customer service approach.
