Brigham and Women's Hospital in Weymouth, MA, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant II to join the Express Care team. The role supports clinical and non-clinical patient services under supervision, including taking vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and assisting physicians.

Schedule includes two 11.5-hour shifts and two 6.5-hour shifts with every other weekend. Onsite, 36 hours weekly; 1–2 years MA experience preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred
• BLS Certification preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required

Responsabilités

• Take vital signs, document patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions to patients
• Perform general office duties and act as a liaison with other departments
• Collect blood and other specimens and prepare them for testing (phlebotomy if competent)
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates
• Provide immunizations as applicable with certification or experience
