Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years MA experience under licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient registration with required paperwork and insurance documentation.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate provider referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and inform them of their status.
• Prepare patients for examination with interview and medical history.
• Perform vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
• Assist with point-of-care testing and provide results to providers.
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms and reception area.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts.
• Answer calls and manage daily mail.
• Ensure reception is well maintained.
• Conduct courtesy follow-up calls with patients.
• Perform opening/closing duties including cash handling and building security.
• Document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain QA/QC logs.
