Job summary

Carbon Health Moorpark, CA, is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced urgent care clinic. You will take vitals, room patients, assist with procedures, and perform front-desk duties in a paperless setting.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant certification, current BLS, and at least 1 year of MA experience. DOT certification training may be offered. This role offers weekday, weekend, and some holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years MA experience preferred; phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and patient history; triage patients.
• Assist with procedures (incision and drainage, wound care).
• Administer medications intradermal, intramuscular, subcutaneous; perform ear lavage; run EKGs.
• Conduct basic lab testing (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, glucose, rapid tests).
• Manage front desk duties as needed; support DOT urine drug screens and breath tests.
