Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers in Overlea, MD, is seeking a courteous Medical Receptionist for a full-time role. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and maintain accurate records in the EMR while supporting a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of customer service experience (preferably in healthcare), and scheduling flexibility including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus.
• Ability to work 13+ hour shifts and weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, update demographics, verify insurance, and maintain EMR records.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and redirect calls as needed.
• Collect patient payments and manage payment transactions.
• Assist with faxes, emails, and office organization.
• Maintain a clean, professional waiting area.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
