Job summary

Socalem is seeking a friendly, organized Medical Assistant for a fast-paced Urgent Care. This temporary full-time role lasts 3-6 months with an hourly rate based on experience. You will greet patients, manage front desk duties, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and support daily operations.

English required; Spanish preferred. High School diploma or GED is required, along with Medical Assistant Certificate and CPR-BLS. Prior experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly on phone and in person; ensure a welcoming environment.
• Efficiently check patients in and out.
• Verify insurance and collect co-payments.
• Maintain good verbal and written communication with patients.
• Read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrate compassion and help calm upset patients.
• Perform other front office duties as assigned.
