Job summary

Socalem is seeking a friendly, organized Medical Assistant for a fast-paced Urgent Care. This temporary full-time role lasts 3-6 months with an hourly rate based on experience. You will greet patients, manage front desk duties, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and support daily operations.

English required; Spanish preferred. High School diploma or GED is required, along with Medical Assistant Certificate and CPR-BLS. Prior experience is welcome but not required.

Seeking a friendly, organized and motivated front office Medical Assistant for a fast-paced Urgent Care. This position is temporary full-time for an estimated 3-6 months.

Hourly rate will be based on the level of experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet patients warmly and kindly on the phone and in person, make them feel welcome.
• Efficiently check patients in and out.
• Verify insurance and collect co-payments.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrate compassion to patients.
• Ability to calm upset patients and resolve their issues.
• Perform other assigned duties or those within the front office scope.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Hourly Range: $18-$23
