Job summary

Southern-California-Emergency-Medicine is seeking a friendly, organized front office Medical Assistant for a fast-paced urgent care. This temporary full-time role is estimated at 3–6 months; hourly rate based on experience.

Greet patients, check them in and out, verify insurance and collect co-pays, and maintain clear communication. CPR-BLS and Medical Assistant Certificate are required; High School Diploma or GED is required. English is required, Spanish preferred.

Seeking a friendly, organized and motivated front office Medical Assistant for a fast-paced Urgent Care. This position is temporary full-time for an estimated 3-6 months.

Hourly rate will be based on the level of experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet patients warmly and kindly on the phone and in person, make them feel welcome.
• Efficiently check patients in and out.
• Verify insurance and collect co-payments.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrate compassion to patients.
• Ability to calm upset patients and resolve their issues.
• Perform other assigned duties or those within the front office scope.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Hourly Range: $18-$23
