Job summary

Cape Cod Healthcare Inc. is seeking an Urgent Care Receptionist for the Sandwich location. You will greet patients, collect demographics and insurance, register into the system and manage calls and messages to keep the center running smoothly.

The role requires a year of office experience, strong communication, and proficiency with standard office software. You will work 38 hours per week with rotating day/evening shifts including weekends; pay is hourly in the $21.12–$25.33 range.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in an office setting.
• Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with current office technology; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and obtain demographic and insurance information and register patient into system.
• Answer telephone in less than four rings and direct calls; take accurate messages.
• Review payment policies and collect copay at time of service.
• Refer to Medical Records for copies of records and maintain patient records.
• Assist physician in contacting on-call providers or a patient’s PCP.
• Distribute charts and manage billing reminders for patients who cannot pay.
