Carbon Health in Puyallup, WA seeks a physician-founded urgent care fellow to train in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The program combines clinical care with hands-on mentorship, didactics, and proctored shifts, designed for graduates in NP or PA pathways who want to grow within a dynamic startup changing healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• NP or PA with current state license and national certification
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification prior to start
• Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment

Responsabilités

• Provide urgent care treatment and patient care coordination
• Perform triage and manage patient flow
• Order and interpret X-rays, labs and EKGs
• Perform regional anesthesia, wound care, I&D and minor procedures
• Assist with simple fracture reductions and orthopedic bracing

Fellow Compensation: $104,000 annually + benefits

What You'll Learn

• Provide exceptional treatment, collaborative care options (within the scope of urgent care), including physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment
• Order and interpret x-rays, lab results and EKGs
• Triage and manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow to avoid long wait times
• Perform digital blocks and regional anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures, such as wound closure and management, I&D, foreign body removal
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as aspirations and injection of joints, bursas, and cysts
• Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursemaid’s elbow reductions
• Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances

About You

• Physician Assistant: Medical/Master’s degree with a valid state license and national certification
• Nurse Practitioner: RN license, NP certification, and a valid state license
• Must be willing to obtain DOT certification prior to start date
• Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start
