Job summary

Carbon Health Mill Creek, Washington, invites recent NP or PA graduates to join an urgent care fellowship. You’ll work in a physician-led, patient-centered team building hands-free AI charting and innovative care delivery.

You’ll receive curated education, mentorship, didactics, clinical rounds, and proctored shifts while contributing to a startup changing healthcare. The program prepares you for independent practice in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant: Medical/Master's degree with a valid state license and national certification.
• Nurse Practitioner: RN license, NP certification, and a valid state license.
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional treatment and collaborative care within urgent care scope.
• Order and interpret x-rays, labs, and EKGs.
• Triage and manage patients to maintain flow and reduce wait times.
• Perform digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor procedures.
• Perform joint injections, aspirations, and minor fracture care.
• Apply braces and orthopedic appliances.

Education

Fellow Compensation: $104,000 annually + benefits

What You'll Learn

• Provide exceptional treatment, collaborative care options (within the scope of urgent care), including physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment
• Order and interpret x-rays, lab results and EKGs
• Triage and manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow to avoid long wait times
• Perform digital blocks and regional anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures, such as wound closure and management, I&D, foreign body removal
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as aspirations and injection of joints, bursas, and cysts
• Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursemaid's elbow reductions
• Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances

About You

• Physician Assistant: Medical/Master's degree with a valid state license and national certification
• Nurse Practitioner: RN license, NP certification, and a valid state license
• Must be willing to obtain DOT certification prior to start date
• Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start
