UI Health, Mile Square Health Center - Urgent Care in Chicago, IL is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) for on-site urgent care support. The role supports direct and indirect patient care, with a Monday–Sunday schedule, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, and a 1.0 FTE.

Benefits eligible, including health and retirement programs. Key duties include assisting clinical staff, performing EKGs, wound care, CPR, and transporting patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Current/valid State of Illinois licensure as EMT-B.
• A current/valid State of Illinois driver’s license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Assist nursing/medical staff with preliminary assessment, education and documentation of patient condition.
• Administer specialized tests as ordered (EKG, Visual Acuity, POCT).
• Inform patients about test preparations and directions to areas.
• Assist with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures (wound care, splinting, oxygen, cardiac monitor, 12-lead EKGs, CPR).
• Respond to patient inquiries and relay information to clinical staff.
• Transports or accompanies patients as directed.
