Job summary

Mercy Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Urgent Care Regency site. Under the provider, the CMA collects vitals, documents patient needs, assists in planning and care, and administers medications within the medical assisting scope and state guidelines.

The role requires a High School/GED and completion of an accredited MA program (preferred in most states). Active MA certification options are listed; BLS is required or preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical history, vitals, and test results.
• Interview patients to obtain information and measure vitals.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Assist providers and maintain a clean, stocked exam room.
• Support busy clinical operations in a high-volume setting.
