Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Urgent Care in Culpeper. The CMA provides direct/indirect patient care under provider supervision, records vitals, assists with exams, administers medications, and supports efficient clinic operations.

Requires High School/GED, completion of an MA post-secondary program preferred, active CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA or ABR-OE acceptable, and BLS. One year of MA experience preferred. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA or ABR-OE accepted
• BLS certification required (at hire for some locations)
• 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience (preferred)
• Externship/clinical lab training completed (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Record patients' vital signs and document information in medical records
• Identify significant changes in patient condition and report to provider
• Prepare examination rooms and assist the physician
• Administer medications as directed by a physician
• Maintain clinical and administrative skills per competency guidelines
