Job summary

American Family Care in Roanoke, VA seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients within the scope of training, working with other providers to ensure efficient flow and high patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include taking complete histories, ordering labs and imaging, forming diagnoses, initiating therapy or referrals, and guiding patients on health care promotion and prevention.

Qualifications

• Active and current PA/NP license in the state of practice (Roanoke, VA).
• Board certification by ANCC/AANP/NCCPA required.
• DEA certificate and state-controlled substance registration as required.
• DOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take complete health histories and review patient records.
• Order labs, imaging, and other diagnostics as appropriate.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilize patients when needed.
• Provide guidance on health care and prevention to patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
