Stantec is seeking one or more interns to support our Urban Mobility Planning Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Position(s) are full-time during the summer months, and flexible for part-time work during school semester(s). A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Ideal candidates will develop client-facing materials, facilitate meetings, and manage internal resources. Proficiency with ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or SketchUp is valued; candidates

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, design, or engineering with a transportation focus preferred.
• Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with client-facing materials and meeting facilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of system-level transportation plans or corridor studies.
• Assist with facilitation of public outreach events.
• Assist with entry level planning and/or design duties as needed.
• Report editing in Word or InDesign.
• Conceptual site design and graphics development with Illustrator.
• Technical writing and summary of project‑record notes/files.
• Tabular data analysis and summary reporting.
• Map creation or data analysis with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online.
