Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an intern to join our Transportation Planning Group in Minneapolis, MN. You will contribute to transportation, community, and sustainability planning projects, supporting multiple teams and engaging with public agencies.

You will assist with meetings, outreach, data analysis, and the preparation of final plans and reports. The internship emphasizes collaboration, learning across projects, and exposure to a range of planning disciplines.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a university’s planning, urban studies, or related program (undergraduates in later years).
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Willingness to learn from a wide variety of planning projects.
• GIS and/or graphic design skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing materials for public or client-facing meetings and presentations.
• Participate in engagement events and public outreach efforts.
• Conduct research, compile quantitative and qualitative data, and conduct analyses to support ongoing projects.
• Support the creation of reports, memos, final plans, and other deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members to provide insights and recommendations based on analysis and research findings.
• Provide general support to the teams, including data entry, stakeholder coordination, and preparation of proposal materials.
• Additional duties as assigned.
