Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for our Urban Mobility team in the North Central region. You will lead roadway design projects across cities and counties, mentor staff, and collaborate with a broad network of engineers to deliver high-quality transportation solutions.

You will apply your expertise in urban corridors, roundabouts, bikeways, and traffic safety to create effective designs that meet client needs while adhering to budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in roadway design."
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Minnesota is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of roadway design projects for cities, counties, and state DOTs.
• Mentor design technicians and EITs; supervise junior staff.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver quality transportation design within scope and budget.
• Prepare design concepts, preliminary layouts, and final construction plan sets.
• Perform CADD design in MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Develop transportation reports, cost estimates, and specs.
• Ensure QA/QC across final deliverables and client communications.
