Job summary

Eagle Mountain City is seeking a dedicated Tree Care Specialist to maintain and prune city-owned trees, shrubs, and woody plants. The role supports urban forestry programs and engages with residents on tree care and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include inspecting trees, scheduling maintenance, and assisting with long-range planning for city landscapes. A valid Utah driver’s license and ability to lift up to 100 pounds are expected.

Qualifications

• One to Two (1-2) years experience in forestry, botany, arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, silviculture, ecology or related field.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspection of trees for removal or pruning; schedule and conduct inspections.
• Perform routine tree maintenance and plant/transplant trees.
• Determine pruning or removal needs in emergencies to protect health, welfare, or safety.
• Assist with public relations, inform and educate the public about forestry programs.
